I have an overactive mind that’s constantly going over and over things. I take deep breaths constantly throughout the day. Surrendering each time praying for peace of mind. Working on artwork that I can just let it flow and develop on its own is healing on so many levels. Turning everything over to God daily. I feel like just did some spring cleaning in my mind. Release all the clutter!
Ruach (pronounced roo-akh) is the Hebrew word for spirit, breath, or wind. When spoken, the word engages one’s breath and lungs. The first mention of Ruach in the Bible is in the very first chapter of Genesis – Genesis 1:2 to be exact:
“Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit (Ruach) of God was hovering over the waters.”

Been praying and allowing Holy Spirit to guide me while creating this commissioned work. I wrote 4 different verses on 4 the sides.

The flowers represent purity, clarity and the new growth after the fire. The thumbprint represents humanity, the wind and living water. I used gold leaf in the flames and drywall spackle to create the texture. I used the burdock leaf from my yard to create leaf impressions in the flames. The connection in Gods design in us and nature are countless. The burdock leaf is used in Japan as a medicine to remove toxins. A “blood purifier” found that out while creating this. Pretty awesome and ain’t no accident!
