This is another piece I did during my recent creative outburst. I started this piece with no plan, I prayed that the Holy Spirit would guide me and let it flow! I have a deep connection with nature, a primitive instinct instilled in me to want to protect our planet. When I think about Gods creation and how intricate it is I feel a sense of incredible amazement. Our ecosystem is such a delicate balance with every living thing having a unique purpose.
After I started editing this video the song Beautiful Day by U2 came to mind. Amazing how well it lines up with the end lyrics. See the world in blue and green. From space earth looks like a blue and green jewel. It’s about perspective.
Bono describes the song as about “a man who has lost everything, but finds joy in what he still has.” The lyrics were inspired by Bono’s experience with Jubilee 2000, a benefit urging politicians to drop the Third World Debt.
“The lyric expresses amazement, really, that whatever situation you find yourself in, as uncomfortable and upsetting as they can be, if you’re alive and you are awake, then you have perspective on it,” Bono explains in the band’s book U2 by U2. “I was influenced by an Australian preacher I know called John Smith, who was a pastor for the Hell’s Angels at one point and who is a very eloquent speaker with a brilliant mind. I remember him talking to me about how depression is a nerve end. Pain is evidence of life because it reminds you there are things in your life that aren’t right. So you should be thankful for it really and celebrate that there is so much to live for.”
I pray for healing for this entire planet! I pray for us all to awaken and realize it’s a beautiful day despite what we may not have.
Sitting with nature is where I find joy, happiness, and felicity. That indescribable joy from knowing that God created this beautiful place for us to live and take care of. He trusts us to guard and protect this land and all living beings that roam it, as well as every living being in the skys and the seas.
